By casting this soft, functional object in bronze, the work transforms something intimate and everyday into a lasting artifact. The sculpture reflects on nostalgia, the passage of time, and the ways ordinary tools hold the stories of the people who used them. In preserving this object in metal, the piece honors both personal memory and the often unseen labor embedded in acts of making.
